CHILDREN & YOUNG TEENS

Ages 2 to 15

  • No separate photo ID required when traveling with a parent or legal guardian who has proper documentation

OLDER TEENS

Ages 16 & 17

  • Valid U.S. Passport Book, OR
  • Original state-issued Birth Certificate
  • If using a birth certificate, also bring a valid government photo ID (Driver's License, Learner's Permit, or school photo ID card)

ADULTS

Ages 18 and Older

  • Valid U.S. Passport Book, OR
  • Original state-issued Birth Certificate
  • If using a birth certificate, also bring a matching valid government-issued photo ID (Driver's License)
  • If your current last name does not match your birth certificate, bring official bridging documents (marriage certificate or divorce decree)

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED: PASSPORT BOOK

A closed-loop cruise lets U.S. citizens re-enter with a birth certificate and photo ID. But if an emergency requires you to fly home from the Bahamas, a passport book is required to board a flight. For that reason — especially with little ones — we strongly recommend every traveler sail with a valid U.S. Passport Book.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • This applies to U.S. citizens on a closed-loop cruise departing from and returning to the same U.S. port under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.
  • Non-U.S. citizens and travelers with special circumstances should check requirements directly with Royal Caribbean and U.S. Customs & Border Protection.
  • Make sure names on your booking match your documents exactly. Bring name-change documentation if they do not.
